Utopia, a homage to Godin’s utopian philosophy

Jean-Baptiste André Godin, a great French industrialist inspired by utopian socialist values, built his industrial site in Brussels in 1880. The Godin Poêleries (pan factory) included various infrastructure dedicated to the well-being of its workers including this building, now listed, which was a “familistère” (social housing project) for a long time.

A real homage to Godin’s social and architectural heritage, the Utopia project restores this unique building to its former glory. Loyal to the beliefs that have forged its history, the residence has been designed as a place to enjoy life with exceptional comfort and shared living areas to provide the moments of conviviality symbolized by the Atrium.
